Biography

Miss Perkins was born in 1865 and raised in Schenectady, New York, where her father was a chemistry professor at Union College. After receiving her B.A. and M.A. from Columbia University, Miss Perkins taught history and Latin at Nightingale in the 1920s to around 1930. The 1928 Yearbook is dedicated to her. She returned to Nightingale in 1940 and 1941 to teach Bible classes to students.

Miss Perkins was also a published writer and supported suffragette movements in the U.K. and the United States.
