Biography
Patricia "Patsy" Gilchrist graduated from Nightingale in 1962, where she was senior class president. She served as the Director of Admissions at Nightingale in the early 1980s and was a Trustee from the 1990s to the 2010s. She also taught history and served as Head of the Middle School.
Also known as Patsy Gilchrist Wainwright and Patsy Gilchrist Howard.

In 1984, based on a determination that Nightingale's archives were inadequate in revealing the school's history, Head of School Joan McMenamin and the Alumnae Association initiated an oral history project.
