Biography

Mrs. Finn came to Nightingale in fall 1966 to teach Lower School, but quickly moved to teaching math, which she taught until her departure in 1980. Prior to Nightingale, Mrs. Finn studied at Hofstra University followed by a teacher training school. She then taught at Locust Valley and Hewlett (Long Island). The Finns had two sons. Mrs. Finn died in 1997.

In 1999, the Catherine Finn Endowed Mathematics Fund for Professional and Curricular Development was established as an endowed memorial fund of the Campaign for Nightingale's Future.
