Biographical note

Sarah Youngman Keyser taught mathematics at Nightingale-Bamford School from circa 1948 to June 1961, when she retired (the 1961 yearbook asserts she was part of the school for thirty-five years). Mrs. Keyser also served as Dean of Mathematics, Dean/Head of the Upper School, interim head of school, and as a member of the Board of Trustees in the 1960s. In June 1960, Mrs. Keyser received an Honorary Doctorate from her alma mater, Wilson College, in Pennsylvania.
