Biography
Also referred to as "Ms. Basi" or just "Basi" by students, Miss Helen Basilevsky joined Nightingale as an art teacher in fall 1968 and later became head of the art department. She taught art and art history to admiring Nightingale girls until 1997, when she took leave due to illness.
