Biography
Maaja Roos joined Nightingale in the fall of 1978 as head of the music department and Glee Club director (renamed Nightingale-Bamford Chorus, then Chorale). Under her guidance, the Chorus traveled to Rome, Italy for a singing competition and performances, won awards, collaborated with male Glee Clubs and fathers' choruses, and was notably the first high school group to perform at Alice Tully Hall. Mrs. Roos departed Nightingale in spring 1987.
