Biography
Madame de Bronac taught Upper School French and German at Nightingale beginning in 1925 and became head of the French department in 1926. She left in 1943 to have a daughter, Marie-Louise. While at Nightingale, Madame de Bronac also contributed to the school's Fair and directed French Club. She died in March 2003 in San Diego, CA at the age of 105.

             This series includes correspondence, photographs, a commencement speech, and biographical records of Maya Stevens Bamford. A majority of the correspondence relates to commencement speakers. The earliest photograph is from 1939 and the latest from 1970, when Miss Bamford attended the school's fiftieth anniversary luncheon.
