Scope and Contents
The 1938 yearbook includes alumnae news for previous classes, a review of the Alumnae Association's activities, The literary publication, Chirps, moved to independently publishing issues rather than printing in the yearbook, but was invited to reprint a few exceptional pieces, which appear on pages 41 through 44. In addition to individual senior pages, class photographs can be found on page 24 (combined photo of Classes II, III, and IV, also known as the Classes of 1942, 1943, and 1944); page 25 (combined photo of Classes V and VI, also known as the Classes of 1940 and 1941); and page 26 (Juniors, Class of 1939). Individual photographs of most faculty and staff are on page 5, although they are not identified by name. Achievements of Council, Canterbury Club, Glee Club, Le Cercle Francais, Dramatic Club, Science Club, the Athletic Association, Social Service Committee, and the Lower School are noted, and an annotated calendar describes the year's school events and activities.
