Scope and Contents
This series consists mainly of photographs and programs. with some sound recordings and video recordings associated with Morning Meetings (and its predecessor, Prayers), assemblies, assembly speakers and performances, and other guest speakers hosted by the school. Speakers appearing in this series' photographs include actors and filmmakers, authors, writers, media commentators, activists, psychiatrists and psychologists, and politicians. Some notable speakers include civil rights activists Ruby Bridges and Bayard Rustin, Congresswoman and Vice Presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro, actor John Lithgow, author Madeleine L'Engle, and Prince Hussein of Jordan. Some speeches and remarks delivered at Prayers/Morning Meetings are also included.
