SG005 Commencement Records, c. 1920 - 2014

The Commencement Records subgroup includes documents, photographs, and audiovisual recordings of Nightingale-Bamford School Commencement ceremonies, at which Class XII students graduate from Upper School and receive diplomas. Documents generally include commencement speeches, biographies of guest speakers, invitations, programs, and correspondence. Photographs are taken before, during, and after commencement ceremonies and may feature students, faculty, administration, parents, and other family and friends of graduates. Some photographs of the entire graduating class at Commencement may be included, but are generally located in RG01_SG005 Class Photographs. Audio and video recordings of commencement ceremonies date from 1985 and may include footage of pre-ceremony arrival and/or post-ceremony receptions in addition to the actual commencement ceremony.
