In 1996, the business office's areas of responsibility included bond refinancing, financial aid, student billing, building rental, purchasing, audit preparation, flexible spending plans, TIAA and SRA, computer stipends and loans, stock and credit card gifts, employee personal expenses, additional payroll (independent contractors), and reporting to various constituencies on event finances.
