Scope and Contents

"Long Way From Home" is a documentary film directed and produced by Kavery Kaul, featuring three girls entering the ninth grade at top schools, coming of age and into worlds different than they come from. The film contemplates themes of differences, diversity, belonging, and youth. Nightingale students Sage Gordon '04 and Sarah Goher '04 are two of the three girls featured.

The documentary was shown at New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) diversity conference in spring 2004, and was the keynote address at the NAIS People of Color conference in December 2004.
