The transcript assigns "F" to interviewer Nancy Hoepli '47, "Q" to interviewee Ann Wilson '49, and "A" to Aline Vicary.

This transcript contains many instances of dialogue that overlapped and was undiscernable to the transcriptionist. The women discuss the absence of uniforms for older girls around World War II, likely due to lack of materials. Miss Vicary discusses coming to Nightingale at the same time as Mrs. Robillard from Dalton, where they were both employed. She recalls first teaching third and fourth grades and playing music for the Christmas pageant. Miss Vicary then taught fifth and sixth grade around 1941 and seventh grade in 1949. She compares teaching the younger students and Middle School students. Ann Wilson recalls attending Lower School and discipline under Miss Hill. They discuss geography projects, where students would meticulously create maps. Ann Wilson describes hers, noting that it still hangs in her mother's sewing room. The women discuss the fun of dramatic productions and how someone (unnamed) was quite talented at organizing these shows. Nancy Hoepli '47, recalls Chinese and South American history classes and not wanting to disappoint Mrs. Robillard when she gave a presentation. The women recall other presentations made during their years at the school, then move on to discuss teachers they recall, including Madame ? and Miss Healey, and former classmates. Miss Vicary discusses Miss Nightingale and Miss Bamford, and how upset Miss Bamford was when President Roosevelt died. The women recall that faculty used to put on humorous annual variety shows for the children. Discussion turns to blue and silver teams for gym classes and field days and how the girls diskliked physical education as they got older. Miss Vicary opines on the differences between girls growing up in the past and present and maturing over their teen years. The women look at yearbooks and discuss various students and teachers. Ann Wilson '49 recalls her family inviting Miss Vicary over to their home and her father offering the proper English teacher sherry at tea time. She also recalled having champagne at her class graduation party and feeling grownup. A few more memories from school days are shared before the end of the recording.
