Scope and Contents From the Series: Nightingale-Bamford School had a small boarding department, or "resident department," from 1929 until 1937. A handful of girls age 14 and older boarded during the week at 23 East 92nd Street, across the street from the schoolhouse, and typically returned home on weekends.
