Scope and Contents From the Record Group:

The Extracurricular Programs Record Group is comprised of records related to programs offered through the Nightingale-Bamford School outside of the regular school-year curriculum. These include after-school programs such as Hobbyhorse, summer enrichment, and Sunny Days summer camp. Records related to Interschool activities are also included.

Scope and Contents The General Student Work and Projects series includes representative essays, poetry, artwork, academic presentation programs, and compilations of student-created content. These consist of several cookbooks created by a grade-level or classroom of students, handmade science books, literary magazines created by Lower School classrooms, and scrapbooks of class trips and memories. Scope and Contents Out of Uniform is a student publication that features literature and (since c. 2010-2011) art from the Middle School. Students review submissions from their peers—from concrete poetry and prose to sculpture and photography—and vote by committee on which to feature in their yearly publication. Student Publications consist of Nightingale student-created content published by students, usually under the guidance of a faculty advisor. Publications include student newspapers, literary magazines, art magazines, foreign language magazines, humor, and entertainment publications. Most are created by Upper School students, although some Middle School publications are included. The archives does not have full runs of most student publications.

Scope and Contents From the Series: This series consists mainly of photographs and programs. with some sound recordings and video recordings associated with Morning Meetings (and its predecessor, Prayers), assemblies, assembly speakers and performances, and other guest speakers hosted by the school. Speakers appearing in this series' photographs include actors and filmmakers, authors, writers, media commentators, activists, psychiatrists and psychologists, and politicians. Special Collections encompasses materials relevant to Nightingale, its history, people, and/or mission, but were not created in the ordinary course of Nightingale's business or were donated items significant enough to constitute their own collection. These records do not generally fall into the other record groups' scope.
