Scope and Contents From the Series:

Traditionally, a group photograph of students in the same class year is taken annually and each class photograph for that year is published in the school yearbook. The Class Photographs series includes some of those original photographs, along with other photographs where most or all students in a class are together. Occasionally, photographs will include students from two class years, pictured together.

Scope and Contents From the Record Group: The Academics Record Group consists of records related to teaching and educating students at the Nightingale-Bamford School. Records relate to teaching of the arts, student work, commencement, Class VIII Moving Up and Class IV Daisy ceremonies, and library and archives records. Scope and Contents From the Record Group: In 1984, based on a determination that Nightingale's archives were inadequate in revealing the school's history, Head of School Joan McMenamin and the Alumnae Association initiated an oral history project. Alumna Marea Adams '74 conducted interviews of former faculty and staff, heads of school, trustees, parents, and alumnae (some interviewees represent more than one of these roles).
