Biography
Madame Louise C. Stevenson came to Nightingale when her friends Miss Vicary and Miss Hill informed her of their need for a new French teacher while Madame de Bronac went on maternity leave (and did not return). Born and educated in France, she began teaching at Nightingale around 1947 until 1967, then returned briefly in 1971. Madame Stevenson served as Head of the French Department from 1947 to 1967 and Head of the Upper School from 1962 to 1967. She died in 1991.
