Biography
Madame Louise C. Stevenson came to Nightingale when her friends Miss Vicary and Miss Hill informed her of their need for a new French teacher while Madame de Bronac went on maternity leave (and did not return). A native French speaker, she began teaching at Nightingale around 1947 until 1967, then returned in 1971. Madame Stevenson also served as Head of Upper School in the late 1940s-1950s. Madame Stevenson died in 1991.
