Biographical / Historical

Canterbury Club was the first club formed at Nightingale in 1924-25. Its purpose was to oversee all entertainment and social activities for students. In 1949, student government reorganized, and Canterbury Club combined with Drama Club and Art Club to became the Committee of the Arts, also including music activities.
