Scope and Contents

An educational trip to Costa Rica is available to students in Classes VI and VIII that have applied and been accepted to travel for a science-focused experience. This guide was created by students as a complement to the trip, which was first offered in 2009. Each page includes facts about a specific plant or animal found in Costa Rica. Entries are organized by group, such as Ferns, Crop Plants, Flowering Plants, Invertebrates, Reptiles, Birds, and Mammals. Facts about each plant or animal may include native status, related species or subgroups, natural history, range, and size/morphology.
