Traditionally, a group photograph of students in the same class year is taken annually and each class photograph for that year is published in the school yearbook. The Class Photographs series includes some of those original photographs, along with other photographs where most or all students in a class are together. Occasionally, photographs will include students from two class years, pictured together.

The Student Life Record Group consists of records related to Nightingale students that evidence student life at the school outside of classroom academics. Included are yearbooks, student publications, athletics records, admissions department records, college advising records, records of student clubs and committees, student governance records, diversity and community life, records regarding the brief boarding school at Nightingale, and records of student support/counseling offerings.

As early as the 1970s, Class XII students have had the option to create an Independent Study Project (also called an Independent Senior Project, or ISP). Students select a subject of their choice, the parameters of the project, and how their learning will be exhibited, whether it be a final essay, analysis, play, artistic creation, or combination of these things. Presentations are given in the spring.
