Biography
Tom D. Vogt taught Upper School English and history at Nightingale. He came to Nightingale in 1985 and retired in 1997, when he was chosen as commencement speaker.
Tom Vogt was born in Kentucky and educated at the Taft School and Yale University. In addition to teaching, he published books on politics, education, and sports. Prior to Nightingale, Mr. Vogt was the Assistant Headmaster at the Rhodes School.

Commencement Photographs consists of photographs taken during the school's Commencement ceremony, at which Class XII students graduate from Upper School, as well as photographs taken directly before and after the ceremony of students, their families, and faculty. There are some photographs of guest commencement speakers and student class speakers, and some years include individual portraits of graduates.
