Photograph of students modeling uniforms from archives at Parents Association meeting, 1985 May
Scope and Contents
Uniforms have been part of the Nightingale-Bamford School since students voted to wear uniforms in 1929. This series includes photographs of students trying on new uniforms, modeling uniforms from the archives, shopping a uniform exchange, and students in Ghana wearing donated Nightingale uniforms. Documents consist of forms for ordering uniforms, a flier advertising a uniform exchange, and press releases describing newly designed uniforms. Finally, uniform pieces dating from the 1940s to 2010s, such as skirts, jumpers, sweaters, blouses, and even a teacher's uniform are included in this series.
