Scope and Contents From the Series:

Traditionally, a group photograph of students in the same class year is taken annually and each class photograph for that year is published in the school yearbook. The Class Photographs series includes some of those original photographs, along with other photographs where most or all students in a class are together. Occasionally, photographs will include students from two class years, pictured together.

Scope and Contents From the Series: Commencement Photographs consists of photographs taken during the school's Commencement ceremony, at which Class XII students graduate from Upper School, as well as photographs taken directly before and after the ceremony of students, their families, and faculty. There are some photographs of guest commencement speakers and student class speakers, and some years include individual portraits of graduates. Scope and Contents From the Sub-Group: Athletics records are comprised mostly of photographs of students practicing or competing in specific sports, although there are some more general athletic photographs, including physical education classes. Textual records include schedules of competitions with other schools, memoranda, and Homecoming programs. Scope and Contents From the Series: This sub-group includes photographs of alumnae taken at events organized by the Institutional Advancement department and/or the Alumnae Association. Events represented include alumnae reunions and receptions in New York and elsewhere, informal reunions organized by alumnae, and educational lectures for alumnae.
